Hawaii Day One

There is so much to share from our trip. I decided that I'll just do it by days. I may or may not get day two posted tomorrow, but I'll try. All the posts will be over here on this site so I can post bigger pictures and not have the margin issues.

We got in late Wednesday night, so we didn't see any of the wedding group until we got up Thursday morning.

We headed out early Thursday morning to see the island and get some snorkeling in. This picture is from Shark's Cove on the North Shore of Oahu.

Michael & Rachel greeting everyone at dinner the night before the wedding. They treated us to a delicious dinner and a neat game with prizes so everyone that was there for the wedding could get to know each other better.

Mike gave a sweet toast to his soon-to-be wife. :)

I'll just say that Michael & Rachel treated us all like royalty while we were there. We had such a great time with friends and family. The weather was amazing and every day was a new adventure!

Mama Tried Again

I think I've established that it's near impossible to get a posed picture of my children together. But, I'm not giving up.

We were out in the yard playing and I just asked them to get together so I could get a picture. No pressure. I even offered M&M's as a reward. It works for potty training. Not for pictures. It's sad when I dread trying to get a picture of them together more than potty training.

Why Courtney feels it necessary to put Garrett in a headlock every time I'd like a picture of them is something I haven't figured out yet.

And, of course, sticks are way more fun then just looking at the camera one time and smiling...

I finally convinced them to drop the sticks. An ok pic, but surely we can do better. Maybe.

Maybe not...

But it was good of Courtney, so I saved her. One of the many reasons I love digital photography.

Garrett gives the no more, no way sign. I don't give up that easy though.

Now he's serious, "Look here mom, I said I was done."

"Fine lady, just one to melt your heart...be quick though."

I just love that one of him. There's just something cute and innocent about it.

I will keep trying for a good one of the two of them. Maybe one day...or maybe not. I'm not seeing the cup half full at this point. BUT, I do believe in miracles. :)

I have no idea what those Roman numerals add up to. I think it's twenty six....I just made it up. Courtney only provided fake cheesy smiles, so there will be no individual pics of her in the bonnets this year. Nor will there be any posey posey of the two of them together. I guess I'll just take what I can get.

My friend Marcie turns 30 this week. While we were celebrating the true blessing of her baby boy Brayden's first birthday her mom surprised her with her own cake. That's LOTS of candles, but she pulled it off and I'm pretty sure she has her birthday wish. :)

These were delivered today! This was my first time to order big prints of pictures and I'm very excited about how they turned out. You can't really tell how big they are from these pictures, but the big ones are 16x20 and the others are 10x18. These are just a few of the ones that I ordered. They are all on double matboard and I'm going to hang them by ribbon in the play room. The bare walls in there are about to be gone!
